John has been with D.B. Root since June 2008. His focus is to support financial advisers, Dave Root, Jr. and Steve Kohler, with financial planning assistance, problem solving, review preparation and various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, gathering data and more. John holds Series 7 and 66 licenses, and has recently earned an Accredited Investment Fiduciary^® designation, which furthers his commitment to implementing proper fiduciary practices, policies and procedures  You will find John personable, helpful and knowledgeable.

He graduated magna cum laude from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in finance and played four years of varsity hockey. When he is not spending time with his wife Angie, he coaches a local high school hockey team in Pittsburgh. They made it to the state semi-finals this past season, and the team looks great this year, too!
