Nelly joined D.B. Root in September 2008 and oversees the marketing, human resources, compliance, technology, and administrative aspects of the office. Her motto is, “Nelly will take care of it!” which is often quickly followed by, “How can I help?” Comfortable wearing a variety of “hats,” she has worked in a wide range of industries, though her primary focus has been investments with over 25 years' experience. Prior to joining D.B. Root, Nelly was an executive assistant with Federated Investors.

She graduated magna cum laude from Robert Morris University with a marketing degree and a concentration in mathematics. She is proud to have obtained her degree while working full-time and raising a family. She holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations, and plans to continue her education in the near future.

Nelly and husband Denny are parents to daughter Kara, and when she's not taking care of “everything,” Nelly loves to entertain, dance, read and travel.
