Dear Valued Clients
March 16, 2020
In our efforts to continue serving our clients’ needs while maintaining the health and safety of both our clients and employees, we are implementing a new policy for client meetings.
Due to the public health emergency presented by the COVID-19 virus, DBR & CO has decided to suspend all meetings hosted at our offices. Also, until further notice, our staff will be working out of their homes. We arrived at these decisions after reviewing the latest guidelines issued by infectious disease specialists at the Allegheny County Health Department, Ohio Department of Health, and the federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We are taking these actions out of an abundance of caution, because protecting the health of both our clients and our staff is of the utmost importance to me, and to everyone working at our company.
We believe that stopping outside meetings and enacting a work-from-home policy will reduce infection risk that can occur when people interact closely with one another or congregate in groups. We are fortunate to be able to employ the necessary technology to take these measures, and we believe they will benefit public health as much as DBR & CO employee health.
While employees may not be in the office, I want to personally assure you that DBR operations will not slow or cease in the slightest, and we intend to provide you seamless service and advice during this time. Advisors and staff will continue to have access to email and voicemail from their homes. We have call forwarding technology to handle all business hours communication. We have also added Zoom videoconferencing technology, allowing clients and advisors to communicate and interact with you from their respective locations.
Processes remain in place to handle money movement, trading and other service needs with the same speed and efficiency as we have always provided to our clients. While the world is moving quickly around us, our commitment to providing the best possible service and client experience remains our highest priority.
As all of us are learning from infection control experts in the fight to overcome this challenge, the situation remains quite fluid. But we are up to the challenge of continuing the work of bringing clarity and simplicity to our clients’ lives. The next few weeks and months will likely be unnerving to us all. We have a great deal of confidence in our ability to navigate this period of extreme uncertainty and will remain “bolted to our seats” to serve you, wherever those seats happen to reside.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
