David founded DBR & CO in 1994 with the mission of building a client-first, team-first firm. As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, David has grown DBR from an entrepreneurial firm into a nationally-recognized organization. As CEO, he leads the company’s strategic and operating initiatives, mentors team members, and advises a select group of clients.
Prior to founding DBR, David was President of Bill Few Associates in Pittsburgh, PA. David is a frequent contributor to industry publications such as The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, Barron's, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, FundFire, Financial Planning, Financial Advisor IQ, and Private Asset Management. He joined the industry in 1983.
David is a member of the Board of the ASIAM Education Foundation and the Mt. Lebanon Community Foundation. He is an avid reader of political and economic history, enjoys golf, and is a lifelong hockey fan. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Kathy and rescue dog Bea.
David earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communications from the University of Michigan. Additionally, he holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and certification from the University of Pittsburgh School of Entrepreneurship.
